Mates in Mind Impact Award Winners
We are delighted to announce that Keylite has been selected as the WINNER of the Mates in Mind Best Commitment to Raising Mental Health Awareness Through Fundraising Impact Award for our #KeepItUp Kick it with Keylite 2022 initiative.
The judging panel said that they received numerous applications for this award, but the Keylite submission stood out for its exceptional quality, originality, and passion to make a significant impact in the mental health sector.
Fiona Feeney, Support Manager at Mates in Mind, said: “The confronting human cost of mental ill-health cannot be ignored, with suicide rates amongst construction workers more than three times higher than the national average, averaging at a shocking two deaths per day in the UK.”
“We are so happy that a company like Keylite has taken the initiative to encourage mental health conversations within its own workplace as well as encouraging the conversation at builders’ merchants, local contractors and construction sites across the UK.”
Thank you to everyone who took part in our #KeepItUp campaign in 2022 and donated to this worthwhile charity, helping us raise a fantastic £20,000. We could not have done it without everyone’s hard work and participation! We will be very proud to collect the award at the Impact Awards Evening which will be a part of the British Safety Council’s International Safety Gala Dinner on the 19th May in London.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a special THANK YOU to our Brand Developer Paddy Whitehouse and Specification Executive Cathal McShane, who together with the whole Sales Team went above and beyond to engage customers at demo days and help raise a lot of money towards the charity funds. Well done!
